"Tonight most people will be welcomed home by jumping dogs and squealing kids. Their spouses will ask about their day. Tonight they'll sleep. The stars will wheel forth from their daytime hiding places, and one of those lights, slightly brighter than the rest, will be my wingtip passing over."

It's about a man who's very good at what he does. The only problem with that is being good at what he does cuts him off from the rest of the world, he lives a lonely, solitary existence. We're not sharks. We're swans. We're meant to fly together, not be alone, and sometimes, we've got to stop moving so we can catch our breath and breathe for awhile.
